Child & Adolescent Anxiety

Does it feel like stress and anxiety are in control of your life right now? You are not alone! Fortunately, there are effective treatments that can help. Whether we are working on generalized anxiety, social anxiety, school avoidance, panic attacks, specific fears or phobias, or OCD, I offer evidence-based approaches in a supportive environment to help children, teens, and young adults learn coping skills and strategies to manage their anxiety. Our goal will not be to make anxiety and stress go away - they are an important part of life! Instead, we will work together to build resilience so that you can regain control when you feel anxious and stressed and focus on achieving your goals. 


Support for Parents & Caregivers

Are you working hard to support your child or teen but feeling at a loss of what to do? Through parent/caregiver-focused therapy, we will focus on building strategies that address the challenges you are facing while also strengthening your relationship with your child or teen. I incorporate multiple evidence-based approaches (e.g., Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Attachment & Biobehavioral Catch-up (ABC), Collaborative & Proactive Solutions (CPS), and Parent Management Training (PMT)) to help parents and caregivers build skills and confidence to support their child. Whether your child is having difficulty managing behavior and emotions, experiencing anxiety, or avoiding school, we will focus on your goals so that you have the confidence to respond in a supportive manner when your child or teen is experiencing distress.


Evidence-Based Therapy

The approaches I offer in therapy are evidence-based. This means that they have been tested in clinical trials and research studies to make sure that they work. These approaches are often shorter-term and focus on helping you to learn skills and strategies that you will be able to continue to use after our time in therapy ends. When we work together, we will combine your expertise about yourself - your strengths, challenges, and works for you - with my knowledge of effective therapy strategies to come up with a plan that is both effective and personalized to you.
